Windsor police investigating arson

The Windsor Police Service is investigating after an early morning fire on Pierre Avenue was determined to be deliberately set.

Windsor Fire and Rescue crews were on the scene on Pierre near Ottawa Street and extinguished the blaze. Firefighters found a number of homemade incendiary devices, or Molotov cocktails, in the area and called police investigators.

Police believe the fire started around 12:45 a.m. No injuries were reported. The Windsor Police Service says investigators believe this was a targeted incident, however, the residence damaged was not the intended target.
