Windsor man charged in illicit drug probe

A 53-year-old man has been arrested following a month-long investigation by Windsor police.

The Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit began looking into alleged drug trafficking in March. A home, suspect, and vehicle involved in the operation were identified.

On Wednesday, officers found the suspect on Howard Avenue near Devonshire Mall, driving the vehicle identified in the investigation. He was arrested without incident.

A search warrant was obtained and executed soon after on the residence, located on Askin Avenue near Beals Street. An unspecified quantity of illicit drugs was seized, along with a BB gun. More drugs were found in the suspect vehicle.

Brian Gosse of Windsor has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possession of fentanyl for trafficking.

These charges have not been proven in court. The investigation is ongoing.
