Windsor child pornography probe results in arrest

A two-month investigation by Windsor police into child pornography has led to charges against a 26-year-old man.

The Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit received a tip in February and began an investigation, during which an involved home was identified, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.

Investigators obtained a search warrant and raided the home on Wednesday. A suspect was found and arrested, and multiple computer and storage devices were seized.

Police are not identifying the home's location and have not disclosed whether any potential victims were local.

Kyle Long of Windsor has been charged with one count each of possession, distribution of, and accessing child pornography.

These charges have not been proven in court.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call Windsor police's ICE Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4896. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
