One arrested as part of drug investigation by Windsor police

Windsor police searched a home and arrested one suspect in relation to a drug investigation this week.

Around 1 p.m. Thursday, police went to a home on Moy Avenue to execute a search warrant.

As the officers with the Drugs and Guns Unit and the Emergency Services Unit approached the home, the suspect took off. After a brief chase on foot, the suspect was arrested.

Officers seized yellow fentanyl, green fentanyl, blue fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine along with ammunition found inside the home.

Dwight Carvery, 47, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of ammunition while prohibited. The charges have not been proven in court.
