PPE producer pays donation forward to area hospitals

A Windsor-based company is paying it forward by donating 10,000 Level 3 medical face masks to Erie Shores Healthcare and Windsor Regional Hospital on Thursday.

Harbour Technologies is the recipient of a donation itself, steel from Atlas Tube in Harrow.

The company is expanding its production of personal protective equipment.

"Atlas suggested we make a PPE contribution to Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie Shores Healthcare instead of paying for the supplies we needed," said co-owner of Harbour Technologies, Andrew Glover. "Of course, we said yes."

Harbour Technologies recently made a similar donation to Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare.

The company has become a leading manufacturer of automation equipment for other PPE makers around the world. It also has over 80,000 square feet of space at its Windsor facility to make its own.
