Boil water advisory issued for parts of LaSalle

The Town of LaSalle has issued a boil water advisory for residents on two streets in LaSalle.

Houses and businesses on River Avenue and Antaya Street should boil all water consumed until at least Monday.

The town says the boil water advisory has been issued due to work on the River Avenue water main.

All water used for drinking (for people and pets), preparing food, infant feeding, hot and cold beverages and ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, and brushing teeth must be boiled. The water should be boiled for at least one minute at a rolling boil and then cooled for use.

The water service has been repaired, flushed and is being tested to ensure safety. Service is slowly being restored to the affected area. The town will issue a release when the advisory has been lifted.
