Police investigate suspicious fire at vacant Walkerville business

Windsor police are looking for information after a suspicious fire broke out on Wyandotte Street East near Pierre Avenue early Sunday.

Around 3:45 a.m. police were called to a vacant business that had been damaged by fire. No injuries were reported and the building sustained minor damage.

The arson unit is asking any businesses or homeowners with surveillance cameras to check their footage for possible evidence including suspicious persons or activity before and after the time of the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
