Body of missing boater recovered

Essex County OPP has recovered the body of a boater who went missing over the weekend.

Todd Howe, 58, of Lakeshore was reported missing Sunday afternoon after he didn’t come home from a morning of fishing. His boat was found on a sandbar by a kayaker who reported the empty vessel to police.

Multiple OPP marine units searched the water and an aerial search was completed on Sunday.

On Thursday morning, a boater on Lake St. Clair discovered Howe's body and contacted OPP.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for Friday.
