Second suspect found in McEwan homicide

Windsor police say a second man has been arrested in connection with a homicide last month.

The incident occurred on May 18 in the area of McEwan Avenue and Wyandotte Street West. Officers found a gravely wounded person, identified as a 30-year-old man from Toronto, at the scene and rushed him to hospital. The man later died of his injuries.

One suspect, identified as 25-year-old Prince Charles of Windsor, was arrested and charged with murder.

According to Constable Talya Natyshak, the Major Crime Unit soon identified a second man. On Friday, it was announced that the suspect was located and charged.

Frederick Leon, 26, from Toronto, is charged with first-degree murder. The charges have not been proven in court.

The investigation is still active and police welcome any additional tips.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
