Two arrested after drugs and guns investigation

After a brief chase, the Windsor Police Service arrested two suspects in a drugs and guns investigation.

As part of their investigation officers in the Drugs and Guns Unit identified two suspects, two residences, and an involved vehicle.

Around 2 p.m. Friday, police officers located the two suspects. They ran from police but a police dog tracked one of the suspects down. The second suspect was also found a short time later and both were placed under arrest.

Police say they found loaded firearms with overcapacity magazines, and drugs on the suspects at the time of their arrest.

Police then searched two homes, one on Belleview Avenue and the other on Pierre Avenue.

As a result of the investigation, approximately 328 grams of fentanyl and 138 grams of cocaine was located and seized.

Stephon Ebanks-Ellis, 23, and Jordell Gran, 23, are both facing a number of gun and drug-related charges.

The charges have not been proven in court.
