Suspect wanted for attempted murder arrested

The Windsor Police Service has arrested and charged a suspect wanted for attempted murder.

Robert Labrecque, 20, was arrested at the Windsor Police Service Headquarters on Wednesday. He is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Labrecque is the second person charged in connection to shots fired at a vehicle on February 27, 2021, on Downing Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

Nathaniel Krug was arrested and charged the day after the incident. A Canada Wide Warrant was issued for Labrecque shortly afterwards.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
