BlackburnNews.com file photo.Windsor Police confirm a man was pulled from the Detroit River Friday morning.
Around 6 a.m., they were called to Riverside Drive East near the Windsor Yacht Club after a call about a marine emergency.
Callers to BlackburnNews.com described the scene.
"It looks like the police, fire, and ambulance are pulling something from the water," said one caller. "They've got a white thing up to cover up whatever they're pulling out."
The man was not hurt and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Four Sarnia streets made the CAA's regional Worst Roads list this year. The only road outside of Sarnia to make the top five was Windsor's Riverside Drive East.
The city said road, water and sewer work is starting to get underway, marking another year of aggressive investment into infrastructure renewal.
The all ages event, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton, will go rain or shine.
