Information sought in Civic Holiday robbery

Windsor police are looking for information on a robbery that took place over the long weekend.

Officers were called shortly after 4 a.m. Monday to a business on Huron Church Road near Northwood Street for a robbery that had just taken place. Investigators believe the crime occurred around 3:55 a.m.

Someone entered the business with a knife and demanded money. The person then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a White male in his 30s, 5' 11" to 6' in height, with a larger build. He was wearing a black sweater, shorts, black shoes, a black baseball cap, and a black bandana over his face. The man also had a red and black drawstring back and a possible cut under his right eye. There may also be a tattoo on the suspect's left forearm.

Anyone in the area is asked to check security camera footage and contact police if anything unusual is seen for that day and time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
