Man rescued from Detroit River dies

Windsor Police report a man rescued from the Detroit River on Thursday morning has died.

Police provided more information about the incident on Friday.

Two officers pulled the man from the water around 11:30 a.m. on Riverside Drive East near Moy Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police do not suspect foul play.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
