Windsor police charge two after one person injured in robbery

Police are investigating a robbery in Windsor that left one man injured late Monday evening.

At around 11:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Huron Church Road between College Avenue and Tecumseh Road West for a reported robbery.

Shortly after police arrived, they located a man who had sustained non-life threatening injuries from the incident. Officers later learned the robbery suspects were known to the victim.

Sometime around 11:30 p.m., officers attended a home on Felix Avenue between Millen Street and Girardot Street and arrested two suspects without incident.

The following day, investigators from the Major Crime Unit applied for and were granted a search warrant for the property on Felix Avenue. The search resulted in police locating and seizing an unspecified item of evidence from the home.

As a result, a 38-year-old Windsor woman faces several charges including robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, and failing to comply with a release order. A 34-year-old man, also from Windsor, is charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.  The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
