Windsor Regional Hospital to start publicly tracking patient vaccination status

The number of patients at Windsor's hospital who have not been vaccinated for COVID-19 will now be made public on a daily basis.

Windsor Regional Hospital announced on Sunday that it will begin tracking and publically disclosing the vaccination status of all of its patients, including those in the ICU.

All of the updates will be posted on the hospital's website, which can be found by clicking here.

There are currently five patients at Windsor Regional Hospital who have tested positive for COVID-19. Of those, four have not received the vaccine. One of the unvaccinated patients is currently in the ICU.

A total of 242 patients have died in hospital due to complications involving COVID-19.

As of Friday, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported that there are 45 new cases of the virus in the region. Across Windsor-Essex, there were 193 active infections and 437 people have died of the virus.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
