OPP probing Tecumseh catalytic converter thefts

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a pair of weekend thefts from outside a Tecumseh business.

The thefts took place sometime between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday from outside an establishment on Fasan Drive, according to OPP Constable Steven Duguay. During that time frame, catalytic converters were removed from two vehicles parked outside.

The Tecumseh detachment is investigating and has asked the public for help in the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
