Early morning fire investigated on McDougall

Firefighters battled an early morning fire not far from Windsor's downtown core.

Windsor Fire and Rescue crews were called after 5 a.m. Wednesday to the area of McDougall Street and Hanna Street East.

When firefighters arrived, the flames were out of control but by 6 a.m. the fire was declared out.

No additional details have been provided and there have been no reports of injuries.

Investigators remained on scene Wednesday morning to determine the cause and a damage estimate.
