Vehicle stolen in Manitoba recovered in Windsor

A Quebec man is facing charges after the Windsor Police Service found a car that had allegedly been stolen in Manitoba.

On Tuesday, Windsor police found a white Hyundai Elantra parked on Huron Church Road near the E.C. Row Expressway. Officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

A 26-year-old man from Laval, Quebec was found inside the vehicle and was arrested without incident. He was charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

The Property Crimes Unit continues to actively investigate this incident and is requesting anyone with further information to contact them at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
