$86K in cocaine seized in Windsor bust

A large seizure by Windsor police has resulted in more illicit drugs off the streets.

Investigators began looking into an alleged drug operation in July. A suspect, vehicle and three different locations were eventually identified, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.

Warrants were soon obtained to search all property identified.

The suspect was found and arrested on Wednesday, with an unspecified quantity of cocaine found on him. The three locations were raided, and a large amount of cocaine was found at two of them.

A total of 860 grams of cocaine were found, with an estimated street value of $86,000. The drugs were seized, along with the vehicle and some cash.

A 32-year-old Windsor man has been charged with three counts of cocaine possession with intent to sell. The charges have not been proven in court.
