Driver charged after Leamington crash

A Kingsville woman has been charged following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday night.

The OPP Leamington detachment responded shortly before 9 p.m. to a crash on Seacliff Drive West and County Road 31. Officers determined that one of the drivers had been drinking.

The 60-year-old driver was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, and failure to comply with a demand.

There were no injuries in the collision.

The driver will have a chance to respond to the charges during a court appearance, set for September 24.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
