Man arrested for bus stop sexual assault

A 55-year-old Windsor man has been arrested and charged after a sexual assault at a bus stop Tuesday.

Windsor police reported a woman was accosted by a male suspect while waiting for a bus on Ouellette Avenue around 10:30 a.m.

Investigators shared a photo of the suspect, captured on surveillance video, to identify him.

With the help of the public, a suspect was identified and arrested without incident.

The man is facing charges of sexual assault. He was released on an undertaking with a future court date.

The charge has not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
