University Avenue fire leaves four displaced

Four people have been forced from their home following a residential fire in northeast Windsor.

Firefighters with the Windsor Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at a multiplex on University Avenue East between Louis Avenue and Marentette Avenue on Friday at around 5 p.m.  The fire was extinguished shortly after 6 p.m., according to fire officials.

No one was injured but the fire has left four people displaced.

The fire has been ruled accidental and damage is estimated at around $90,000, fire officials said.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
