Man arrested in hit and run investigation

The Windsor Police Service has arrested and charged a man in connection with a hit and run involving a cyclist earlier this month.

On September 2, a Windsor Police officer came across the injured cyclist in the middle of the road while on patrol on Tecumseh Road West.  The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Through an investigation, the suspect vehicle was identified. The vehicle was located and seized as evidence on Saturday.

A 24-year-old man is facing a charge of leaving an accident scene causing bodily harm. He was released with a future court date.

The victim is still in the hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
