Classes dismissed from St. Peter Catholic Elementary School and Catholic Central High

One class and one bus cohort at St. Peter Catholic Elementary School in Tecumseh has been dismissed following a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Two more classes have been dismissed at Catholic Central High School in Windsor.  That's on top of another two classes dismissed on Saturday.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit made the announcement on Sunday.

The health unit is contacting staff and students who may have been affected.

Individuals who are affected will not be returning to the school until further direction by the health unit.

Parents are advised to monitor their children for symptoms of COVID-19 and to contact their healthcare provider for further information regarding illness or results from a COVID-19 test.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
