Kingsville pot grower offers shares to investors

A Kingsville cannabis producer has the approval to start trading shares on the Canadian Securities Exchange.

Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis Corporation started trading on Tuesday. It has 121,832,019 common shares trading on the market and said it could increase its capacity quickly if needed.

It trades under the symbol "GWAY."

"We are excited to give investors the opportunity to grow with us," said Chief Financial Officer and Director Darren Peddle.

Directors and officers of the company hold 101,565,167 common shares under an agreement reached on September 3.

Greenway remains majority owned by Sunrite Greenhouses, which makes equipment for the greenhouse industry.

The exchange started trading in 2004 and, at the time, was the first new trading market approved in Canada in over 70 years.
