High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p>The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is cautioning the public of a possible COVID-19 exposure at a Windsor grocery store.</p><p>
A possible COVID-19 exposure has been identified at the meat department of the Real Canadian Superstore at 2430 Dougall Avenue.</p><p>
The dates of possible exposure are September 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and September 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.</p><p>
The WECHU is asking anyone who visited the store during those dates and times to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of exposure.</p><p>
If symptoms develop, the health unit said to get tested immediately.
