Shots fired in downtown neighbourhood

Windsor police officers are investigating after shots were fired in a downtown neighbourhood over the weekend.

Patrol officers were called to Tuscarora Street near Windsor Avenue around 8 a.m. Sunday to investigate after spent shell casings were found on the roadway. Residents reported they heard several shots fired at around 3 a.m. that morning.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the shooting, however police found bullet holes a residence on the block.

The Forensic Identification Unit attended and processed the scene.

The Major Crime Unit is actively investigating this incident and requesting anyone in the area with surveillance cameras or dash-cams to check their footage for possible evidence related to this incident. Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
