Windsor woman facing arson charges

Windsor police have laid arson charges after a fire at a hotel early Wednesday.

Police and fire crews were called to the hotel on Riverside Drive West near Ouellette Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, several hotel guests were displaced but no injuries were reported.

The Windsor police say the hotel has extensive water damage however a damage estimate has not been reported.

Investigators determined the fire was suspicious and identified a suspect.

The 42-year-old Windsor woman is facing charges of arson and failing to comply with a release order.
