Pedestrians struck in downtown Windsor

Two pedestrians are facing life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a vehicle in downtown Windsor Thursday night.

Around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Wyandotte Street, two men were hit by a car as they crossed the road.

The men were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Windsor Police Service Traffic Reconstruction and Forensic Identification Units attended and processed the scene. Police investigators learned the vehicle was travelling northbound on Ouellette when the men were struck.

Police are requesting residents, business owners, or anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision to check their security cameras or dash-cams for footage that may assist in the investigation.
