COVID-19 testing and vaccination this weekend

If you need to get tested for COVID-19 or get your vaccination over the long weekend, Windsor Regional Hospital has you covered.

The hospital is adjusting the hours of operation at its Pediatric Urgent Medical Assessment Clinic on Sunday and Monday in the hopes it will be more convenient for families anticipating get-togethers over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

The clinic is on the east side of the building at the Met Campus on Tecumseh Road East.

The clinic, which caters to children under 17, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., instead of the usual 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Those who go will need to make an appointment first by calling 519-973-4443 or booking online.

The Ouellette Campus Assessment Centre will remain open all weekend for those who need a COVID-19 test. The hours of operation will not change. It is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment.

For those looking to get their first or second shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, the mass vaccination clinic at Devonshire Mall will remain open each day from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. An appointment isn't necessary.

So far, 78.5 per cent of the region's population over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated.
