Pedestrian killed in Lakeshore crash Friday night

One person is dead after a crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle in Lakeshore.

Provincial police along with Windsor-Essex EMS responded to Talbot Road between Lapointe Street and Wilson Side Road in Lakeshore around 10 p.m. Friday for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to a Windsor area hospital and succumbed to his injuries.

Police have identified the victim of the crash as 51-year-old Salvatore Onoratio of Windsor.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by Lakeshore County OPP and OPP Technical Collision Investigators.
