Belle River woman wins over $50,000

Louise Elder of Belle River is planning a big celebration when the pandemic ends.

She feels like celebrating after winning $53,435 playing the Ontario 49 draw and Encore. She won second prize.

Elder knew she had a special ticket.

"I started to look at the numbers and thought, I needed to go the store," said the retiree. "I knew not to get too excited until it was confirmed."

She is settling into her excitement now.

"I'm still going to play my regular numbers," she laughed.

The winning ticket was bought at Food Basics on Manning Road in Tecumseh.
