COVID-19 outbreak declared at Ouellette Campus

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Windsor Regional Hospital- Ouellette Campus.

The hospital reported less than five patients have tested positive on the 4 Medical unit. All of those affected are asymptomatic. The first case was identified following a routine screening. All of these patients were residing in the same wardroom.

Admissions to the unit will continue. However, no visitors will be allowed to visit the unit where the outbreak is taking place. Exceptions will be made for palliative patients.

Windsor Regional Hospital routinely tests all patients admitted to the hospital for COVID-19.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
