Drugs and weapons seized in investigation

A 29-year-old Windsor man is facing a number of drug and weapon related charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service.

The Drugs and Guns unit began an investigation into the suspected trafficking of illicit drugs in October. A suspect and an involved vehicle were identified as part of the investigation.

Police say the suspect was located and arrested on Monday. The vehicle involved was searched and drugs, currency, ammunition, and prohibited weapons were seized as evidence.

The 29-year-old is facing charges of possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of brass knuckles and three knives which are prohibited weapons. None of the charges have been proven in court.
