UPDATE: Crash closes a section of Naylor Sideroad in Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police has shut down a section of Naylor Sideroad in Lakeshore after a serious crash.

The road is still closed between County Road 46 and South Middle Road after a minivan and a transport truck collided around 9 a.m. on Monday.

The OPP confirmed that the driver and passenger of the minivan were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.

As of 1:30 p.m. Monday, police had indicated that the road may be closed for several more hours. An alternate route is strongly advised.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
