Officers struck during traffic call

A Windsor driver has been charged after striking two officers in Kingsville Saturday.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers were dispatched to County Road 23 just after midnight after reports of an erratic driver.

Officers found a vehicle stopped at the side of the road. As officers approached the vehicle took off, striking the two officers. The vehicle sped off and ended up in a ditch. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

The officers who were struck were not injured.

The 34-year-old Windsor resident is facing charges of flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and resisting peace officers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
