WPS seize $85K of drugs from Windsor home

The Windsor Police Service seized about $85,000 worth of illicit drugs from a McKay Avenue home this week.

The Drugs and Guns Unit identified a suspect, vehicle, and residence as part of a recent investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs.

On Thursday, police searched a home on McKay Avenue and arrested a suspect without incident.

Police seized the vehicle, currency, and illicit drugs including fentanyl, burgundy fentanyl, pink fentanyl, green fentanyl, purple fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine.

A 25-year-old man from Windsor is facing 11 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possessing proceeds of property obtained by crime.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
