Free parking for quick pick-ups this holiday season

The City of Windsor is offering 15 minutes of free parking this holiday season for people picking up take-out or preordered gifts.

Drivers can log on to the Passport Parking App and type in zone #3800 then your license plate number. That will entitle you to 15 minutes of free parking in any lot or meter in the city currently connected to the app.

If you are longer than 15 minutes you will have to complete a regular parking transaction.

The parking app has been used in the city since December 2017. There are 1,400 meters and 31 surface lots currently utilizing the app. All parking lots and meters continue to take coins as well.

The app cannot be used in the city's two parking garages in downtown Windsor.
