Home in LaSalle searched during drug investigation

Three people have been arrested and charged with drug-related offences after an investigation by the Lasalle Police Service.

On Wednesday, the Criminal Investigations Unit searched a home on Abbott Street with the assistance of the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit.

Three people were found inside the home and arrested without incident.

A 39-year-old woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance and five counts of failing to comply with a release order. Officers also discovered she had an outstanding warrant for a violent criminal offence.

A 39-year-old man was also arrested and charged with four counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested and was found to be in possession of some illicit drugs, She was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance as well as one count of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
