New capacity limits force Caesars Windsor to cancel shows

Caesars Windsor has cancelled two shows coming up over the next week because of new COVID-19 restrictions at concert and sporting event venues.

Starting tomorrow, casinos, concert halls, and stadiums can only admit half of their usual capacity.

The Ontario government announced the change earlier this week as cases involving the new Omicron variant began to climb.

"The Tenors," expected to perform Sunday night, is cancelled, although the casino hopes to welcome them back in 2022.

Next Thursday's "The S'Aints Sleighing Hunger" show is also called off.

"We will monitor the guidelines for live entertainment and provide ongoing updates," said President Kevin Laforet.

Those seeking a refund for either show should bring photo ID, proof of purchase, and tickets to the Box Office. It's open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8 p.m.

If you bought tickets through Ticketmaster, refunds can be processed using your method of payment. For assistance, call 1-855-985-4357 (HELP).

Caesars Windsor advises those with tickets to shows in January to keep an eye on its website, Facebook page and Twitter.
