LaSalle man facing child pornography charges

Windsor police have arrested a LaSalle man following an investigation into child pornography.

The Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation last month after receiving a tip about someone engaged in internet child pornography, according to Constable Darius Goze.

A male suspect was soon identified, and on Monday, December 13, he was arrested without incident on North Service Road East near Central Avenue.

A 28-year-old man is charged with one count apiece of accessing, possessing, and transmitting child pornography. These charges have not been proven in court.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information to share should call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4896, or ext. 4000 after-hours. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
