Resident hurt in Belle River break-in

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after two suspects broke into a home in Belle River and assaulted the occupant.

The victim was alone during the break-in just after 11 p.m. Sunday on County Road 22 between Right Away Lane and Alexander Avenue.

They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects fled in a dark-coloured SUV westbound on County Road 22.

Police said there's no threat to public safety, but ask anyone who lives along the block or has a business there to check their surveillance camera for any footage that may help with the investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
