Windsor police seek suspect who allegedly pointed weapon

Investigators are looking for information after someone allegedly had a gun pointed at them Tuesday afternoon.

Windsor police officers were called around 2 p.m. to a home on Marentette Avenue near Shepherd Street East. Officers were told that the suspect had arrived at the house to collect something from the victim.

Constable Darius Goze said when the victim was unable to provide the item, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and threatened them before driving off in a light-coloured SUV with a dark-tinted rear window.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a Black male, around 40 years old, approximately 6', and 160 pounds. He had a dreadlocks hairstyle and wore a matching light brown tracksuit with a yellow pattern.

The Major Crime Unit has asked anyone in the neighbourhood who may have security cameras to check them for any unusual activity during that approximate time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
