Amherstburg crash claims one life

A crash Monday morning in Amherstburg has left one driver dead.

Windsor Police said two vehicles crashed on County Road 9 between Texas Road and County Road 10 around 6:30 a.m.

There are reports two other people were hurt, but police could not confirm that Tuesday morning.

The road was closed for several hours while the reconstruction team investigated.  It's open now.

Police have not released the victim's name because they are still notifying the family.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
