Windsor man facing charges linked to property crimes in Lakeshore

A Windsor man is facing a number of charges after a rash of property crimes and stolen vehicles in Lakeshore.

On January 5, a Lakeshore resident called the Ontario Provincial Police to report their pickup truck had been stolen from their driveway.

Over the course of the investigation, police also received a number of calls about property thefts in the area of Old Tecumseh Road between Wallace Line Road and East Pike Creek Road.

Later in the day, the Windsor Police Service found the stolen vehicle in the city and a suspect was arrested without incident.

A 29-year-old Windsor man is facing charges in relation to seven separate incidents. The charges include break and enter, possession of stolen property, theft of a motor vehicle, and theft from a motor vehicle.

The accused has been remanded into custody pending a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
