Firefighters respond to commercial fire near Erie Street East

Firefighters were called to a business near Erie Street East after a fire broke out early Saturday morning.

Sometime after 6 a.m., crews responded to a cafe on fire in the 1100 block of Erie Street.

Heavy smoke was reported in the area as crews battled the blaze.

Windsor police are on the scene to assist fire crews in detouring traffic around the area.

No other details on a damage estimate or cause have been determined.
