WRH declares outbreaks on multiple units

Windsor Regional Hospital has declared COVID-19 outbreaks on multiple floors after several patients have tested positive for the virus.

Outbreaks have been declared on 6 East and 2 North at the Ouellette Campus and 8 North at the Met Campus.

Two other units are being monitored for potential outbreaks. Fewer than five patients on 7 North at Ouellette and 4 Medical at Met have also tested positive. Patients on these floors are being monitored closely.

The hospital is recommending all patients discharged from the hospital monitor themselves for symptoms and self-isolate for 10 days when possible.

Admissions continue on all units. All patients admitted into the hospital are tested upon arrival and again following admission whether they are symptomatic or not.
