UPDATE: Suspect arrested after downtown fire

Windsor police have arrested a suspect after a fire a downtown business was set intentionally on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Chatham Street around 12:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of an active fire.

Windsor Fire and Rescue put out the fire. No injuries were reported, and a damage estimate has not been determined.

Police announced the arrest Friday morning.  A 26-year-old man has been charged with arson.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
