Stolen licence plates leads to charges

A Lakeshore man is facing charges for having stolen licence plates on his vehicle.

Ontario Provincial Police patrol officers were on Linda Crescent in Lakeshore when they saw a vehicle with a licence plate that did not match the registration.

Officers stopped the vehicle and determined the licence plates used on the vehicle had been reported stolen.

A 57-year-old Lakeshore man is facing possession of stolen property. The charge has not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
